Bailey Hague Joinery were commissioned to undertake a full replacement timber window project at a Boutique Hotel in Bruntwood Estate, Cheadle.
The project was one of the largest wooden window jobs we had undertaken at the time and we relished the opportunity to work on such a beautiful and impressive building.
We measured, designed and manufactured approximately 100 bespoke accoya timber windows, which included some traditional wooden sash windows and wooden casement windows. Due to the age and the character of the building we had to design and manufacture our windows to work around the beautiful stone mullions and which is why the client had chosen a bespoke wooden window manufacturer as it required a sympathetic and careful hand.
Some of the windows were gothic topped which required our workshop to build some templates and use our expertise to the fullest and we think they look stunning.
Each window was primed and finished in a traditional white factory finish top-coat which is in keeping with the period of the property. Acoustic glass was used to protect against noise as the client wanted to ensure guests and visitors to the hotel had ultimate comfort.
The project took approximately 3 months from start to finish; from the lengths of accoya timber getting delivered to our workshop right through to our installation team fitting the windows on site.
We think the results look fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the project. This project shows that we can work on commercial scale projects with strict timescales without compromising on quality.
