Every window and door we install is only as good as the ironmongery hung on it. We specify hardware from four brands we trust — chosen for the way each piece feels in the hand, the finish that holds up in British weather, and the guarantee that comes with it.
When we quote a project, hardware is part of the design conversation — not an afterthought. Handle style, colour finish, letter plate proportion, knocker weight, and the small pieces most people never notice (escutcheons, cylinder pulls, sash fasteners) all shape how a door or window reads once it's fitted.
We take the lead from the house — Georgian townhouses want restrained polished chrome or antique brass; a contemporary front door wants black or satin stainless; a period cottage wants forged hand-made pieces from From The Anvil.
We keep our hardware selection tight and considered rather than offering hundreds of interchangeable options. Four suppliers, each chosen because they do one thing exceptionally well.
All four are British or British-distributed, come with proper guarantees, and are supplied through trade channels we've used for years — so when a customer picks a handle, we know it'll be in the workshop when the window is ready to hang.

Traditional forged and cast ironmongery, hand-finished in the UK. Our first choice for period doors, listed buildings and heritage restorations. Polished chrome, aged brass, aged bronze, polished nickel, satin chrome and pewter finishes.
Typical use: heritage front doors, sash window fasteners, letter plates, door knockers.

Hand-forged wrought iron and steel hardware from Warwickshire. Substantial, well-weighted pieces with a deep matt black or satin finish. The Padstow, Arundel and Curl ranges cover most of what we specify for contemporary doors.
Typical use: matt-black door handles, espag window handles, cylinder pulls, letter plates.

A well-regarded British range with a fuller antique brass, satin brass and polished brass selection than most of the market. The Lyndon, Burley, Cottesmore and Ryhall ranges give us a proper period feel without going full farmhouse.
Typical use: Georgian townhouse doors, sash fasteners, centre door knobs, reeded handles.

Marine-grade satin stainless steel and coastal-suitable finishes. What we reach for when a property is in a coastal or exposed location, or when a customer wants a very clean, contemporary look. Opera, Regent, Contemporary and Classic ranges.
Typical use: modern front doors, exposed coastal properties, satin stainless finishes.
